Sage or not to Sage

I'm looking out contact management system and my accounts, is Sage the best company for this kind of software or can I get better else where?

Re: Sage or not to Sage

Hi Amico, and welcome to the forums!

Sage50 is a fine product and is very popular among the small business community. If you want a software package to run your accounts then it is one of the best.

Where Sage50 is not so good is in helping you to run your business from day to day. Sage50 requires quite a lot of training to use and tends to be only used by a few people in your company (probably management and bookeeping/accounts). Sage50 will only really help with your accounts and will not really help you with your workflow, or with point of sale or with document management or stock control. (Unless you purchase expensive add-ons).

A package like Easify is a broader package in that it can be used by anyone in your company, it will help with stock control, invoicing, job tracking, EPOS, document management eCommerce etc... Easify also provides accounting functionality (Cashbook, aged debtors, sales reporting etc...).

So it's a tricky choice which totally depends on your business requirements. Sage50 is a great tool for producing your accounts but is not very versatile from a business operations point of view. Easify is a very versatile software package which will help you run your business and do accounting for most small business types.
