We are pleased to announce that Easify V4.79 has been released.

For Easify V4.79 we've included the ability to edit reports before they are saved or printed using a built in Word Processor. We've also made improvements to the way VAT returns are generated, fixed a number of bugs that were reported since the previous update and also added a number of security and performance enhancements.

Highlights...

Reports can now be edited before they are printed.

Fixed product editor not saving first image added under specific conditions.
Fixed Easify Connection Manager incorrectly launching if Easify Pro login cancelled.
Fixed Easify can't discover Easify Server if no network present.
Fixed Easify Server Editor Local and Public IP addresses appear blank.
Fixed stock allocation error prevents order total being updated.
Fixed 'Out of memory' errors in Easify Pro under specific conditions.
Fixed issue with holding shift and using arrow keys to select multiple products.
Fixed issue with purchase not being able to move to 'On Order' when 'Ordered on' Date set.
Fixed memory leak in Easify Server caused excessive RAM usage over time.

Editable Reports

By popular request we have made it so that when you go to print a report or save it to file, you can now edit it first.

Now most of the reports under the Reports menu in Easify Pro open in a built in Word Processor which allow you to add / edit / delete any information you want in the report before you print it or save it.

The ability to edit reports is also permission based so you can easily setup specific users so that they aren't able to edit reports if you desire.

Bear in mind that this feature doesn't permanently change the layout of the reports, it is not a report template editor, instead it allows you to edit the report data when the report is generated.

We have also added in depth online help for all of the reports in Easify Pro, so if you're ever wondering why a report is showing you a particular set of data you can click the Get Help button in the lower left of the report and read all about it...

VAT Return Auto Snapshots

Another new feature in V4.79 for those of you that use Easify to generate your VAT returns is a built in snapshot feature when you submit a VAT return.

Now when you submit a VAT return, Easify Pro will automatically save a snapshot of all the data related to the creation of VAT return so that you can re-load it at a later date if you need to.

This is all fully automatic so you don't need to enable the feature or do anything special in order to benefit from it.

Performance Improvements and Bug Fixes

We've included a number of bug fixes in this release which are outlined in the Highlights above.

Also in this version we have included a number of optimisations and performance improvements that mean that things should generally run a bit faster than previously and also use less memory on your computer.

Security Updates

Easify V4.79 also brings a number of important security updates, so we highly recommend that you update to V4.79 at your earliest convenience.

I have an Easify Cloud Server, how do I upgrade?

With the Easify Cloud Server, we handle your Easify Server upgrades for you. Simply send us an email telling us when is a convenient time for the upgrade and we will upgrade your Easify Server to the latest version.

Do I need to upgrade from V3 to V4 before upgrading?

No, if you wish to upgrade from Easify V3 you can go straight from Easify V3 to V4.79 by running the Easify V4 installer.

I am an Easify V4 user, are there any technical reasons that would prevent me upgrading to V4.79?

No, anyone who is using Easify V4 will benefit from the update.
