Easify deleted by Windows ans/or Norton updates

This morning I ran updates from both Microsoft and Norton, both which were prompted by the respective software companies and not as a result of my housekeeping.

Now Easify appears to have been deleted from my PC and whilst I can see some files on the hard drive the programme itself will not run and the short cut has been deleted from the task bar.

Having spoken to Norton support, who logged in and interrogated my PC whey state that it is nothing to do with them and I should roll back my windows update. I did this and still the problem remains.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so have you overcome it?

The only other solution is to re-install Easify and work from my last back up which means I have lost an entire weeks work.

Which version of Easify are you using, version 3 or version 4?

We are using V3 and originally subscribed in September 2015

Do you have the following folder on your computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Easify

or

C:\Program Files\Easify

If so, you should have a file named Easify - this is the Easify Client program. If you have this file double click it to try launching Easify.

Hi Richard

Yes I see the folder Program Files (x86) Easify and there is a file called Easify.exe within it. When I click on it does not open the programme but opens up a view downloads window. I have emailed the screen captures to your support email address.

Thanks for the screenshots.

The Easify file you double clicked is actually a config file, not an exe file. So that's why it won't launch.

The Easify.exe file is missing which indicates Norton has had a "false positive" and deleted it (despite what Norton support might have said).

I've emailed you a link to the latest Easify V3 executable, if you download this, unzip it and copy it to the program files folder it should get you back up and running.
