Missing Order Numbers

My Easify system has just started missing order numbers in the sequence. It was running in the correct sequence from up to 100139, then jumpde to 101139, then 100140, then to 102141. There were no cancelled orders in this sequence

This is a safety feature built into the Microsoft SQL database that Easify uses to store data.

If the computer hosting the Easify database is turned off incorrectly, this can include the following:

  • computer resets without warning, caused by faulty software and or hardware
  • power cuts
  • forcibly turning off the computer manually without going through the correct Windows shutdown procedure

Then you run the risk of corrupting the Easify database.

The number skip is a symptom of the database trying to solve problems that occur when the database is unexpectedly turned off.

Thanks for the quick reply. We have had a few problems with the pc shutting itself down lately, so that is probably the cause. Hopefully all sorted now
