Engineering Business

Hi John

our bespoke software we had for our business was very old and sadly crashed.

I already use Easify for my shop and it works very well so I thought it might work for my other business however it does not seem to follow the same logic we are used to.

First of all we need to quote a customer for either parts or a project.

If this turns into an order we must then raise purchase orders against what is now a job.

Finally when the job is complete we need to run a report to see if the job has made a profit/loss

Easify keeps the same number from enquiry through to invoice where we have separate numbers for quote, purchases, job and invoice. At the end of the month we can easily see the profit for each job and the cost of the purchase.

Any advice would be very welcome

Thanks

Bob

Re: Engineering Business

From your description Easify can handle this scenario, although things are represented in different ways.

Jobs, orders, projects are all represented in the Orders & Quotes section.

Invoices are currently represented as paperwork that you can printed from an open Order's print menu.

Various flavours of profit reporting is presented in various ways under the "Reports > Finance" menu.

You can also build your own reports if you have some skill at Excel and or SQL.

If you don't have the time, skill, patience to create your own financial reports. One of our resellers may be able to help you out:
