Is it possible to search for an item/product in the database using the barcode?

Yes, you just need to enter the barcode number into the EAN No. field when editing a product record.
Then when you enter the barcode into a product search box, it will find any product that has that barcode number saved to the EAN No field.

Yes, scanning a barcode into the Point of Sale screen will add it to the current order if there is only one product linked to that barcode on the Easify product database.
Scanning the barcode into the Product Search (F3) section of the Point of Sale will show you any products that match that barcode on the system.
