New features and various bug fixes...

This is the first major update for Easify Version 5 and contains a couple of much requested new features as well as a number of fixes for bugs that were highlighted after the initial release of version 5.

What's new in Easify version 5.2?

Highlights...

  • New Document Management System (DMS) now allows different root path per user.
  • New Postcode lookup PIN can now be used on all Easify Pro Client in your company.
  • Fixed error when opening order from Customers order history panel.
  • Fixed incorrect screen scaling on Customer edit Window at high DPI settings.
  • Fixed could not drag items to DMS panel on 64 bit Windows.
  • Fixed clicking item in Active Jobs list could open item multiple times.
  • Fixed POS not marking orders as paid under certain conditions.
  • Fixed free stock levels conflict when two of the same assembly added to order.

Document Management System (DMS)

In previous versions of Easify if you wanted to use the DMS, the path that you set in Easify Options would apply to all users of Easify in your organisation. This made things tricky if each of your users had the DMS files stored in a different local path on their PC.

For example one user might have their documents in C:\Users\Fred\OneDrive and another might use C:\Users\Jane\OneDrive.

To get around this you had to either ensure that each use used the same local path to store their copy of the DMS files or you had to use mapped drive letters to achieve the same.

In Easify V5.2 the DMS path is stored per user, so if you set the path it will only apply to your login.

Easify DMS Options

So if you are storing your DMS files in DropBox or OneDrive for example, you can simply go into Easify Options and set the path to your DropBox of OneDrive folder and you no longer have to make sure the path is the same as everyone else.

Postcode Lookups on Every Computer

Postcode Lookups

Another much requested feature is to be able to purchase one postcode lookup subscription and use it on every computer in your organisation.

Previously, and partly due to restrictions imposed by Royal Mail licensing you had to have a separate postcode lookup subscription for each computer that you ran Easify on.

In Easify V5.2 that restriction has been lifted and you can now use Easify Postcode Lookups on all computers with a single subscription.

We will need to make sure that your Easify Cloud Server is running the latest version of Easify so when you are ready to upgrade please email support@easify.co.uk and we will arrange the upgrade for you.
