Stock categories

Easify does not seem to support muliple categories and that is proving a challenge at the moment

As this EPOS was built upon a computer repair business I wonder how others have dealt with it

If we first look at hard drives

There are two types. HDD and SSD

Then there are 2.5 and 3.5

Then there are SATA and still a few IDE

Then there are speeds say 4200, 5400 and 7200

Then there are capacities

I had wanted an overall product category called STORAGE which would have covered HDD, SSD and flash drives

But now I am finding that I have to have HDD with sub categories 2.5 and 3.5 and use the description for everything else

SSD are not too bad but I can see this challenge in other categores like Memory

Then there is another issue. We currently group together different makes in to one proudct category

For instance 2.5 inch 1Tb drives regardless of makes are just in one category

If I buy 10 drives at say £40 and sell 5 that leaves me with 5

If then buy another 5 at 35. it appears under Easify I now have to sell 5 at £40 and 5 at 35 whereas my current program just averages out the price at £37.50

Thoughts welcome and thanks in advance

Steve

Re: Stock categories

Thanks Richard, I must admit I am not sure if that level of stock system will work for us.

It is to shallow.

What about the other part of the questions regarding averaging out retail prices?
