Easify wont install

Hi

I managed to install Easify sever and client on one machine but wanted to install it to another so that I could spend a little time with it tomorrow

It goes throughthe install process but just stops and says Not Responding

After about half an hour the install Window just disappears

There is no icon on the desktop nor does it appear in Programs and Features

Running W10 64Bit

This is most likely caused by interference by Anti Virus software, I would recommend temporarily disabling your anti-virus software during the installation.

Also, could you email a screenshot of the setup window where it is stuck to support@easify.co.uk.

And if you could also email us a copy of your setup log files which can be found in your temp folder - C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp

Please send us the following:

  • EasifyV4Setup.log
  • EasifyV4BootStrapper.log

Hi

I had the AV turned off but today stopped it from loading at boot up

It has made no difference

There does not appear to be an log file but I have the bootstrapper and the screenshot available

There is no apparent upload for me to attach these documents to this quote

Where should I send them please

Hi Richard,

I sent you an email however there has been a change

I found a exe file in the temp folder and ran that with admin privaleges as indicated in my email.

It got stuck on installing barcode fonts for a long time and I thought it had hung

But after I sent you the email it completed and has picked up my other machine

So all seems fine

Thanks for letting me know...

Easify Setup is in two parts, the first part is the bootstrapper which is a Win32 application whose main job is to check that .Net Framework 4.6.1 is installed and that you are running Windows 7 or later. It then unzips the main installer into the temp folder and runs it.

It sounds like Windows had a problem with the bootstrapper and you managed to find and run the main installer and get it setup Ok.

Easify setup sometimes hangs for a while installing the barcode font because certain applications (Adobe Creative Cloud for instance) block when the Windows fonts are being updated. It won't cause any issues though.
