[SOLVED] Easify Server shows as Unknown Status in Easify Server Manager

If you have an Easify Server that shows as "Status: Unknown" in the Easify Server Manager, this can be caused by the Easify Server having been moved from another computer, or by being restored from a backup where the Easify Server files end up in a different folder to where they were originally located.

To resolve this, launch the registry editor (Regedit) and locate the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Easify\V4.x\Installations\

Note: If you are running 32 bit Windows, the path will be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Easify\V4.x\Installations\

Within this registry key locate the folder that contains the Easify Server installation details i.e. the Product Type is "Easify Server".

Now launch Windows Explorer and browse to the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Easify\Server

Note: If you are using 32 bit Windows the path will be: C:\Program Files\Easify\Server

In the registry editor change the value of CompanyName to be the same as the Easify Server folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Easify\Server (I.e. this will be your company name).

IMPORTANT: Make sure you don't have any unwanted spaces before or after the Company Name or Description. These can creep in when copying and pasting your company name and are very difficult to spot.

Open the folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Easify\Server that corresponds to your company name, and within that folder will be another folder whose name will be your company description.

In the registry editor, change the CompanyDescription value to correspond with the folder name mentioned above (the folder that has your company description.
