Manually installing IIS for EASU on Windows 10
Typically the EASU installer will install IIS for you, and configure it ready for EASU to run.
However if a configuration error in Windows, or interference by anti-virus software prevents the EASU install from successfully installing IIS you can add the required IIS features manually.
In the control panel click Programs.
Under Programs and Features click Turn Windows Features on or off.
In the list of features expand Internet Information Services.
Under the Internet Information Services tree node, find and make sure the following features are ticked:
- IIS 6 WMI Compatibility
- IIS Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility
- IIS Management Console
- .Net Extensibility 3.5
- .Net Extensibility 4.6
- ASP.NET 3.5
- ASP.NET 4.6
- ISAPI extensions
- ISAPI Filters
- Default Document
- Directory Browsing
- HTTP Errors
- Static Content
- HTTP Logging
- Static Content Compression
- Request Filtering
