i am looking for a query solutions whereby I can export between 2 dates the following information
Date, CASH, CARD, CHEQUE, TOTAL
Only for paid transactions.
Ideally an SQL Query that I could then export to Excel

Please take a look at the following report, I believe (based on your description) that this will produce the data you are looking for:
"Reports > Finance > Payment Received"

Would that just give a total or daily breakdown. What I need is the latter

For a daily break down you can enter a date range that only spans a single day.
Alternatively you can use the "End of Day (Z) Report" for a list of today's Payments Received.
