Changing price of many quantiy single item is misleading

Helllllooooo..

If you have 4 quantity say...of an item..Why if you go to change the price of the item does it work on the total line price and not on the cost per item??

So I have 4 x a 75p item giving me a line total of £3.00

If I want to change the price of the single item why does it have £3.00 in the Change item price box and not the 75p?

Think it's a bit weird that you are on a till system and yet you have to do some mental arithmetic to give a customer a bit off a slightly damaged product for example..so instead of putting 65p in the box and it adjusting the line total for you - you have to do the maths yourself first.

All very well for a simple example but if you are an equal oppertunities employer with mixed ability staff you don't want their confidence knocked or have them to need to get out a calculator and taking too much time.
