Discounts not reflected well on till receipt
Finding it difficult to understand why a discount is not better reflected on the till receipt.
A discount on a complete sale is only taken off the last item - not each item
So if a regular customer comes in and they get a discount on their total sale but their last item was a carrier bag at 5p then the discount is only applied to that last item for the whole sale therefore running that item into the -ve and if an item is returned then you have to be a bit psychic to figure out what discount has been applied.
If a student comes in and get their discount applied to SOME of their items and then they return the item - it makes life very difficult for the person doing the return.
Could there be an indication per line (Perhaps an * before the price) for single item discounts OR a line on the receipt for a complete sale discount to say what discount has been applied.
We have a lot of students and a lot of regular customer who buy semi-bulk so this is a real issue.
