Scanning in a received order

Hi Guys

Just bought easify with a barcode scanner, hoping your product is going to be the answer to my prayers!

I noticed that you have to manually input the stock level of a product, I think I have read somewhere that if you raise a purchase order and confirm receipt of the products when they are delivered Easify will automatically update the stock level for you, is that correct?

Next question following on from above, is there anyway of updating the stock level of an item simply by using the barcode reader and not raising a purchase order?

In other words new shipment received and just scan the new items with the barcode reader to update the stock level, I know that the product details have to be already in the system, it is the stock level I want to automatically change by scanning only.

Hi there Nsearson, welcome to the forums  

Yes, if you raise a purchase for products and have the stock codes entered for the products on the PO, Easify will allow you auto check them into stock when they arrive.

We don't have a facility to scan a product barcode and have it auto book it in, but it would be a good feature to have. I will add this to our feature request list to be reviewed for a future free upgrade (Feature Pack). We could code it so that you open the purchases Window, scan a product stock code and from there we could look up to see if the product stock code matches anything outstanding on a purchase and automate adding it into stock from there.

Just checked our issue tracking system and we already have barcode scanning of incoming stock listed as a feature request. Feature Request #2262. Have added your vote to this.

Currently it's flagged as "To be reviewed" but it is very likely we will code this for Feature Pack 9 as it would be a great feature to have.

The next Feature Pack is Feature Pack 8 which we are just in the process of finishing off - it will be released very soon
