Yes this can be done with our EASU upgrade.
I'd suggest passing your developer a link to the documentation to see if they're able to do it. Alternatively we can quote for the job, please send any enquiries to sales@easify.co.uk

Hi John
Thank for getting back to me on this, I do the website normally , I use Frontpage with topshopper cart and have just started to look at serif web software, do you have a preference on wat one to use and if I then get it set up I will then probably contact you about putting the code in and linking it all up
cheers
We've chosen to support osCommerce and ZenCart as two free open source ecommerce shopping cart solutions that work on PHP and MySQL. We're almost ready to release the 'middleware' code required to link EASU with these systems.
This middleware is installed on your web server and translates messages coming from Easify (upgraded with EASU) to your website and visa versa.
So the flow of data will look like this when the system is setup:
Easify Database <---> EASU <----> Middleware <----> Shopping Cart
The arrows indicate that the flow of data can occur in either direction.
If you'd like us to manage the project please drop us the details via email to sales@easify.co.uk for a free quotation.

Hi John
Just looking into this again and have another question on it.
We are looking at doing reserve and collect through our website and I am just wondering is there a way of putting a minimum stock level for this.
The reason is as we would be selling from the shop as well as reserving/ selling on the website we could have a situation where some one is in the shop with the last two item in there hand and then someone reserves or buys the same items via the website ? who gets them.
One person has them in there hand but another has reserved or brought them through the website.
So was thinking if there was a minimum of 5 or more for the website to be able to reserve or buy this should avoid this and it would say ' Item below minimum Qty for Reservation / Sale Via Website , Please contact XXXXXXXXXXXX ' .
And how often does easify stock level sync with the website ? because a long delay could have the same results.
Limits or additional control can be added directly to a shopping cart if it is an open source solution such as osCommerce and Zen Cart. Alternatively if you are working with a closed source solution such as BigCommerce the EASU Connector code can be modified to reject stock updates based on certain credentials such as if product stock is 5 or less, do not update product stock level on the website.
Web updates are asynchonous (no immediate reply is waited for), the speed of which is determined by many factors. The internet connection speed, latency and current web server work load are chief of which. Making sure you have good equipment and services in these areas mean you will get better results.

Hi John
Thanks for getting back to me on this , one more thought, is it possible to load up and pay for a order through a website ? I.e A customer came in to the shop and placed a order but has only paid a deposit, Then when the order was ready they requested us to post it out to them.
I know there would be a lot of website coding but from easify's side is it possible to have the customer log in to the website using there order no and there details to check the order and pay the balance through paypal, Etc
We have a lot of customers that don't like giving card details over the phone.

Yes it is possible to setup a secure payment facility that your customers can log into to make full or part payment against orders on Easify. This type of facility is rather labour intensive to setup.

Hi John
Most things I come up with for the website recently seem to be very intensive to code, I will have to work out the most important and work for there. If I need any help coding the website to connect to easify I will give you a shout.
Thanks
Adrian
