Problem with Email invoice as Outlook attachment

Hi there,

I'm running Easify (3.52.1.23) on W8 with Outlook 2013. When I generate an invoice and click 'Email invoice as Outlook attachment' - if Outlook 2013 is already open then I receive the message:

Email Error

Could not create email - Cannot create ActiveX component.

However, if Outlook 2013 is closed, then Easify will open a new message window in Outlook 2013.

It's not a critical problem but it's very time-consuming to work around.

Just wondered is there was a patch/fix/suggestion?

There are several probable causes of this issue.

  • We have not tested Easify on Windows 8 and Outlook 2013
  • You are running either Easify or Outlook 2013 in administrator mode

We plan on making Easify 100% Windows 8 and Office 2013 compatible in a future update.

Hi John,

Thanks for getting back to me. You're correct, I am running Easify in administrator mode. This is the fix to another Windows 8 glitch (but I forget which one).

Looking forward to the next update.

Hi John

I have same problem

Now running Easify OUT of admin mode (changed log with new name and password)

But still have Active x message when trying to send email.

I am running the latest Outlook and checked to see if I am in admin mode. Note sure how to do this but think that I am not.

Any help would be useful

Easify has been tested with Windows 8 & 8.1 as well as Outlook 2013.

The email attachment feature attaches the desired paperwork to a new email window in Outlook, as seen in the above screenshot.

It is possible that the process of Easify communicating with Outlook can be interrupted by third party software such as antivirus / antispyware, firewall, security suits, tune up tools and even Outlook plugins.

We have also encountered users that have corrupted Outlook installs who get errors when trying to use this feature. As far as we have heard, some of these users have been able to resolve their issue by reinstalling Outlook. In the worst case you may need to take your computer to an IT professional for a service.
