Looking to purchase

I tried emailing this but it kept bouncing, that's a little worrying !!

Hi Easify,

I stumbled across your software while I was looking for something to help me streamline my new business.

My current setup is a retail shop, and for this I currently use Eposnow for my epos solution. I've started wholesaling to other businesses, mainly pubs. I've been doing this for almost a year and I've been using excel, which works, but is really labour intensive to keep track of payments, producing statements takes lots of time and if I'm to grow the business I need a software solution. Your software looks excellent and I've been messing about with it using the free trial.

Some features I need but I've not figured out yet -

Wholesaling requires repeat purchases to customers. Generally my customers buy the same stuff each week. Although I've found a way to set a trade price for a product, I need to be able to set customer specific prices. To be clear, I will stock Budweisier, and my trade price maybe £20 per case. Some customers will pay this, others will pay a price I negotiate so I need to beable to load this into the system so that each time the customer orders the price charged is the same.

Another feature that would be nice, but not as essential as the first, is the ability to populate various suppliers prices for one product. So to look at Budweisier again, I can buy Bud from every supplier I have, they will all stock it. I do buy it from the supplier who is the cheapest and this involves checking the market each week to compare all the prices. Again this is a manual task and takes time. Maybe a dream too far would be the system to tell me you need Bud and here are the current market prices, (the system having checked this online automatically).

I've not looked at the Epos side of your system yet. I'd be keen to use it for the wholesale arm and maybe add the epos at a later date. I'm not overly happy with Eposnow but there is an element of comfort with them as I know how it all works and I wouldn't want to change too much too quick. I guess I could put your software onto my hardware.

I'd be delighted to hear back from you and I hope your system can cope with my needs.

Hi Dunlopcraig,

Welcome to the forum!

To schedule repeat orders and purchases you would need to use the EASU upgrade.

Here's our information page for EASU

This isn't a feature in the current version of Easify though it will be included it in a future update. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and News pages as this is where we will announce things.

Currently only a single supplier can be saved per product record. Again this is another popular request and we hope to handle this scenario in a future update.

Re: Looking to purchase

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. Are you able to give me a time scale for the customer specific price software update? Although my existing setup is basic, it does allow me to invoice at prices previously agreed without manually overiding them. I do feel that with your system what I would save in time with one thing, I would loose with something else

Sort of giving with one hand and taking away with the other.

If you had a date for this feature going live I could maybe live with it knowing there was light at the end of the tunnel !!

Re: Looking to purchase

I'm afraid we don't have a release date yet for the features you're looking for, might be later this year or next as it stands, but this is very much a guess.

Re: Looking to purchase

Hi John

Thanks again for your reply. I find myself now with a few options. Some of which I'm not sure are possible

1) go back to the drawing board and look for a system that can handle customer spesific prices.

2) find someone who can write a bit of code which will work with your system and allow me to handle customer spesific prices.

3) convince you guys to write it sooner !!

Is option two a realistic possibility? I'm sure I read somewhere in your documentation that this was possible to sort of bolt on 3rd party software. If it is an option, are you able to point me in the direction of someone who maybe able to quote me for this? Also, whould you have an idea what this would cost. I'm not a programmer but I don't think what I need would be massivly technical.

Thanks

Re: Looking to purchase

Hi Craig,

We'd love to be able to develop this part of the system for you now, although we're not in a position to. Also were unable to take on customisation / bespoke work without charging between £40k - £50k, (which most aren't prepared to pay).

Regarding the partner route, it would be a very technical task which we wouldn't be able to support if it went wrong. Also there's the chance that the next Easify update would break the changes our partner makes... so you'd be stuck at the same version and not able to update without it incurring additional development, cost and headache.

Sorry to be a naysayer, I hope our software will be of use to you in the future.

Re: Looking to purchase

Thanks for your help John.

I'm not ruling you out completely. I do like your system, I just don't want to solve one problem by creating another.
