New user - lots of questions

Good Evening,

I am currently testing the 30 day trial version of the software and have come up with a couple of questions. I have search the forum but don't seem to be able to find the answers if however you could point me in the right direction that would be fantastic.

Firstly, I am setting the system up from scratch, we will be moving premises and going all techy in the process, the shop currently has a the till from open all hours. I will need to print out all the labels for display purposes however I keep getting the message that only one can be printed at any time, is there a way to get around this? With over 3000 products I may find a little tedious.

With regards to price lists, is it possible to select which objects you want on a price list so that I could have a price list just for certain areas of stock rather than for everything?

Also, with regards to the software, I am looking to have 2 tills and the back office computer, also we are looking to use open cart for our ecommerce... does this mean I need to purchase 3 licenses and an advanced server license or just 2 licenses and an advanced server license.

Thank you so much for any information you can give on these.

Re: New user - lots of questions

Hi Fi, and welcome to the forums!

Arkwright's till - beware the spring

At present you can only print labels for a single product at a time (though you can print many labels for that one product). But I can see how being able to print labels for multiple products at once would be useful. We're due to be releasing a new version of our code in the next week or two related to some ecommerce updates we've been working on. It may be possible for us to add the facility to print labels for multiple products in the new code - I will look into it.

You can choose which products show on your pricelist by selecting whether the product is published or not. Published products appear on your pricelists.

You would need 3 licenses and an advanced server license as you would be using Easify on the 3 computers. If you had a computer acting just as a server that you didn't actually use the Easify client software on (computer just hosting your Easify database) you wouldn't need a license for that.

Re: New user - lots of questions

Hi Fi,

Just to confirm that we've modified the code to allow printing of multiple products, the new version will be available as part of a wider update which will be released on Wednesday 28th August.

Re: New user - lots of questions

I'm currently using the free trial version, If I buy the license will it overwrite and delete all the information I made with the free trial or it will just continue as it is? because I put a huge amount of product list in the trial version and I can't find an easy way to delete it all since they're all in stock. Help please. Thanks.

Please refer to this FAQ article, in short, no your data won't be cleared once you upgrade to the full version:

http://www.easify.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=61

You can also export your products to CSV (spread sheet) format, via the 'File > Export > Products' menu item to keep them safe.

Thanks John. The thing is I imported incorrect product list in my trial version and we'll purchase the software this weekend. Is there any way that I can delete all the product list and invoices I have made and start fresh again?

Re: New user - lots of questions

We have made it hard to delete Easify data, mainly because it doesn't easily go missing.

You cannot delete products that have a stock level, therefore use the bulk product editor to update all product's stock level to 0 in one go. Then you will be able to delete the product that have not been saved onto any orders, these you'll have to remove from orders before you're allowed to delete them.

Alternatively you could just discontinue all products you do not want, discontinuing a product makes the system ignore them.

To do the same for unwanted orders, you must change their status to Cancelled, for them to be ignored.

In order to get a fully clean and fresh database, you'll need to fully uninstall Easify via the control panel.

Re: Product Import Error

Hi, Happy Holidays everyone.

I'm still struggling importing products in Easify

I have made a list of 130 item row but only 114 were posted in easify but before importing, it said that 130 were displayed without any error. So I made a smaller list of 21 rows and I got this.

I also tried to delete the products followed by the categories and subs but some sub categories wont delete bcos it said that there are items listed even if there isn't.

I dont have an order or quote processed yet and all items are in 0 stock level.

Here's the screen shot of product import error. Please advise. I only have 3 days left in trial version and I haven't mastered importing products yet which is really necessary for me bcos of the detailed items in our product range.

Thank you very much in advance.

Re: New user - lots of questions

Could you send us a copy of the CSV file you are trying to import.

support@easify.co.uk

We can then check the file and advise you how to proceed.
