Easify Version 4 2016 Roadmap...

Release of Easify V4 to new users…

Easify Version 4 will be available for new users on Tuesday 12th July 2016.

Upgrading from Version 3 to Version 4…

Initially Easify Version 4 will be available for new users and will not be immediately available as an upgrade, however the upgrade version will be released only a few weeks after the main release. So if you are an existing Easify user and would like to upgrade to Version 4, we anticipate that the upgrade version will be released on July 25th 2016. At this time you will be able to upgrade your existing installations from Easify version 3 to version 4.

Easify Version 4 API – Ecommerce and external connectivity…

The new Easify V4 API documentation and Remote Connectivity Subscriptions will be released approximately 4 weeks after the release of the Easify V4 upgrade, which will be late August 2016. The API documentation and Remote Connectivity Subscriptions will allow you or your web developer to remotely connect your website or 3rd party applications to Easify in much the same way as you would with the existing Easify Advanced Server Upgrade (EASU) package. We will also be creating a WooCommerce connector for the Version 4 API which will allow you to connect your Wordpress/WooCommerce shopping cart to Easify in much the same way as you would with EASU.

Easify for Windows 10 Phone/Tablet…

With the API released we will continue with work on our Windows 10 UWP Easify application which will allow you to use a “lite” version of Easify on Windows 10 Phone and Tablet.

Additional Features and Enhancements…

We will also be continuing to develop extra features and enhancements for Easify and look forward to getting to implement some of the features that you have requested.

Easify Product Name Changes...

For version 4 we have decided to rename the “Easify” client application to “Easify Pro”. This is to make way for a new “mobile” application later this year which will simply be named “Easify”. For the desktop you will use Easify Pro, and for mobile/tablet you will use Easify.

Easify V4 also sees the introduction of a new product which is known as “Easify Server”. When you install Easify version 4, you will get an installation of Easify Pro, and also and installation of Easify Server. The Easify Server contains your database and is responsible for all of the communications between Easify Pro and your database.

The Easify Advanced Server Upgrade (EASU) will not be available for Easify version 4. The task scheduler and multiple company* features of EASU have been incorporated into the Easify Server (the task scheduler will now be included as standard), and the Ecommerce features of EASU have been replaced by the Easify V4 API for which you will be able to purchase Remote Connectivity License subscriptions in order to connect your website and external 3rd party applications.

*If you wish to run multiple companies in Easify V4, you simply purchase an additional server license for that company and install the server as a new company.

Easify Product Pricing...

Because we are now able to offer Easify products on a subscription basis and have incorporated EASU into the new Easify Server we will be offering the following pricing structure.

Easify Pro (client) Computer License £99 + VAT
Easify Server Computer License £99 + VAT
Easify Pro + Server Bundle Computer License £149 + VAT
Easify Pro (client) User License Monthly Subscription £7.99 + VAT per month
Easify Remote Connectivity License Monthly Subscription £29.99 + VAT per month

Computer licenses are the same as existing Easify licenses, they allow you to install Easify on a single computer and there is no limit to how many users can use Easify on that single computer. A computer license is a one off fee.

The Easify Pro User License is a monthly subscription that allows the specified user to use Easify on any computer that has Easify installed on it. For example, you could download and install Easify Pro on 5 computers, and use Easify on all of them by logging in with a single Easify Pro User License. You would only need a single subscription rather than 5 computer licenses. However each separate user must have their own subscription.

NOTE: The Easify Pro User License also allows you to connect to your Easify server from anywhere on the internet. So if you want to roam with your Easify Pro client, a User License Subscription allows you to do this.

The Easify Remote Connectivity License allows you to connect an external website to your Easify Server. This provides similar functionality to the old EASU license. EASU was licensed with a computer license, whereas the Remote Connectivity License is via subscription.

Easify V3 Price Changes...

In order to bring Easify V3 pricing inline with the new V4 pricing, the price of an Easify V3 License will rise from £74+VAT to £99+VAT as from 12th July 2016. So if you do not plan on upgrading to Easify version 4, you may still purchase V3 licenses from our website at the old price until 12th July .

Easify Upgrade Pricing…

The upgrade pricing to upgrade an Easify V3 Client to Easify Pro V4 will be £49 + VAT.

Alternatively, existing V3 client users can choose to take out an Easify Pro User License Subscription for £7.99 + VAT per month. This will also allow for free lifetime upgrades and will allow remote access to your Easify server from anywhere.

For existing EASU users wishing to upgrade to the V4 API, we will be offering a 6 month free subscription for the Remote Connectivity License.

NOTE: If you purchased your Easify V3 licenses during 2016, you will qualify for a free upgrade to Easify V4.

Coming in 2016 – Easify Paid Support Options…

One of the things we get asked for quite a lot is for premium technical support options.

Generally speaking, Easify is a very stable application, once you get it up and running it doesn’t tend to go wrong and 99% of problems with Easify are actually PC, Network or Anti-Virus problems – not problems with Easify itself.

Typically, with our free support offerings we are only able to help with Easify specific problems, and can’t really get involved with day to day technical support issues which are really the responsibility of your IT bloke. However new for 2016 we will be introducing paid for premium technical support options whereby for a sensible annual fee we will be able to offer you paid technical support with a 4 hour guaranteed response time (during office hours) where we can engage with all kinds of technical support issues including PC and Operating System fixes via remote support.

We are currently working out the finer details of our premium support package (including pricing), and we will be announcing pricing after we have released version 4.
