Workshop Feature

Hi,

I'm looking at this product and wondered if it had the following features

1. Workshop ability, looking at creating something to purchase order, with quote, parts, further comments, ius it possible to do this?

2. If yes, then rather than printing out an A4 sheet with purchase order/quote would it be possible to print a till receipt with a reference number? So if/when the customer calls the shop we can easily locate the repair? Also could be handy for detailing special ordered items, giving a till receipt? Along with adding what is needed, what has been done and any further work recommended.

3. Is this easily used on 2 pc's, like front of counter and workshop till at the same time?

4. Does it have any feature to text/e-mail customers once items/jobs are ready for collection, or the option of connecting to a text/e-mail facility?

5. Also if selling a bicycle it would be nice to have a place to enter a frame number and this to be shown on the final print-out so the customer has a copy too(and ours saved on the system).

6. Also notice if creating a purchase for a customer and then re-looking in order"es you can only edit/add items if you know the sku number, is it possible to look via description?

7. Is it possible to edit a purchase order to have 2 templates, 1 for workshop repairs and another for special orders?

8. In the orders and quotes section, are we able to edit the order type so adding workshop, special order amongst other titles?

If anybody knows then please let me know.

Regards

Mark

Re: Workshop Feature

We have various cycle shops that have reported using our software successfully.

To answer your questions:

1. Purchase orders can be found in the Purchases section; quotes can be created in Orders & Quotes; parts are added to orders / quotes; further comments can be added to the 'Internal Notes' section of each orders / quotes / purchases.

2. Paperwork like this cannot currently be printed to a till receipt (V3.64). Our next update will include a custom report designer that would allow for this.

3. Please follow this guide on how to add additional Easify clients to your network:

http://www.easify.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=358

4. There's no texting facility; Easify does has some basic integration features if you have Microsoft Outlook installed.

5. There are various serial number recording features available in Easify. In order to get them on your paperwork through, you may need to wait for the next update so you can edit certain reports or create your own to include the serial number.

6. You can search for products by description via the Find Product button found on the top bar of Orders and Purchases. Shortcut is the F3 key.

7. Not in the current version (V3.64), again the report designer could help you with this if the only difference is the paperwork output.

Re: Workshop Feature

Good Morning,

thanks for the update this has helped answer alot of questions and I certainly look forward to see what the future holds.

You mention there are a few other workshops (cycle retailers) using this system are they UK based as it would be handy to maybe collaborate with them to generate a suitable workshop repair form (obviously with the help of your developers), as this system would certainly appeal to a fair few sole cycle traders like our-selves.

I'll certainly would be happy to be a guinea pig for the system as the cost, ease of use, support and feedback etc....is fantastic.

Thanks for the your help and a good product to find and please keep up the good work.

Regards

Re: Workshop Feature

Thanks for your feedback Mark,

We're currently looking at introducing an export (maybe an import too) for custom reports, so we can use them to resolve any issues people run into when creating their custom reports. These exported files could then be shared via the forum so others can import them if they find them useful   I really hope we can get this feature included in the next update, but no guarantees yet.

Re: Workshop Feature

Morning,

as always keen to pop back and see if there are updates or other interesting questions.

When is the next update available and will it be shown on the demo version as currently using this at home, I'll also be looking at newish pc's to go into the business by the end of Feb, along with buying into the software.

As mentioned keen to work along-side other cycle/workshops in developing something.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Workshop Feature

Hi Mark,

The next update (Feature Pack  is nearly finished and will be released in a matter of weeks. We don't have a specific release date as it depends on how long it takes us to get the code solid and passing QA.

For the next update we're including a custom report designer which is basically the Easify product label designer on steroids. It will allow you to fully customise public facing paperwork such as invoice, quotes, purchase orders etc... You will also be able to create your own custom paperwork, so if you want any number of customised purchase orders that will be no problem with the new code.

When we release the new update it will be included in the demo version.

HTH

Re: Workshop Feature

That Sounds very good, would like to attach an example but cannot seem to reduce size below 446kb.

To update a work docket whilst working on it would be really useful, would need to have some way to produce a receipt with job reference, this helping the customer with a unique code.

Any thoughts?

The up and coming report designer will allow you to create your own reports that print to a till or a standard printer (almost any Windows based or ESC/POS type printer). So for example, you could design a "work docket" report that could include the details of the initial order and customer, raised on Easify, as well as a checklist of actions an engineer has to action for each job. The engineer could then either scan and add the scanned docket to the document storage for the order, or you could manually record their docket on the internal notes for the order.

Hi Mark, hope your well.

What you can do is each time a customer comes in and you book that repair in an order number will be generated, what you could do is just write this order number at the top of the repair ticket, that way if they pay a deposit then this can be entered but not finalised, if no deposit is paid then just do a repair ticket as normal (not doing anything on epos) and then when the job has been completed the guy out back enters the completed repair ticket in to the epos and then writes the order number at the top of the repair ticket, he can then add notes and lots of other things (remembering to leave it pending) and when the customer comes to get the repair you shout to one of the guys to bring out repair xxx, which now has the order number written on it and you just call up that order number from the shop pc and if any notes have been made you can read them out.

It is a good program and both do give feed back, you can follow richard on twitter and get tweets for all the release of updates.

I will pop in soon and see you.
