I am in the middle of doing a stock take and I want to delete products that have zero quantity, but it keeps coming up unable to delete because this product is assigned to quotes or orders.
How do I go about being able to delete products with zero that has this message come up please.
It isn't possible to delete products that have been assigned to quotes or orders as this would destroy the history for any quotes or orders that reference that product.
Instead you can edit the product and set it to Discontinued which will hide it from view unless you choose to view discontinued products.
You can do this on the Stock Level tab of the Product Editor at the bottom:
