when attempting to apply a discount to an order total (in POS) we no longer seem to have this option, only the line total.
When pressing F6 the option was there in v3 but it doesn't appear to be in v4. I have read the online guide and your guide does show the order total discount so I'm not sure whether it's something local.

Hi Paul,
We had to remove the discount by order total feature when we released V4 for technical reasons.
However we're working on putting the feature back in, and hope to have an update in the next few weeks that re-instates it.
We will send out a newsletter when the F6 feature is back in there, if you make sure you're subscribed to the newsletter at the bottom left of this page we'll email you when it's done.

Thanks, have you had any reports of slow performance in v4 ? especially searcing we are finding it much slower than v3.

Hi Paul,
Easify V4 isn't as fast as V3 overall because of the way that the core of v4 was modernised a few years ago. Because we upgraded to a more modern engine for V4, it means that we can release free updates literally 10 times faster than we could with V3, and it also means that V4 fully supports internet connectivity without having to use VPNs etc... This also means that the new V4 engine has to do more processing so it does run a little slower than V3 in some areas.
We're continually optimising V4 though, and some areas of v4 actually run considerably faster than their V3 equivalents.

When I go into completed orders it takes 3 minutes and 57 seconds to display 4420 records, surely this can't be right. It will only get worse as the orders increase.

Hi Paul,
Check to see if you have the Net, VAT and Gross columns showing in the Orders & Quotes window.
If so, temporarily hide them by right clicking in the Orders & Quotes Window and de-select them.
These columns impose a known performance hit.
We are soon to release an update that fixes this, should be available in a couple of weeks.

We're hoping to have the F6 modification released with our next update which is currently being tested. Shouldn't be too long now.

Any news on this update? We've finally just updated to the Easify pro platform, and at the moment wishing we hadn't.

Hi Mallott, we haven't released a fix for this one yet as it has presented a number of complex technical issues which would affect the financial side of Easify. We're still working on it and intend to have the feature re-instated as soon as we can.
