Re: trying to discover database

This is a bug we come across while testing V4 pre-release.

However we fixed this bug and aren't expecting it to occur.

Could you email us your EasifyServer.log file?

It is located here by default:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Easify\Server\COMPANY_NAME\COMPANY_DESCRIPTION\Bin\Logs\EasifyServer.log

Re: trying to discover database

We've checked our logs and it doesn't appear that you've successfully followed all of the required steps to publish your server.

We have a step by step guide here.

But in short these are the four steps you must follow:

Re: trying to discover database

Apologies Andy, I don't understand your last post.

With regards to our Configuring Easify Remote Access guide...

1. Please make sure that the following option is ticked.

Tools > Easify Connection Manager > Select Company > Edit > Authorised Remote

2. You already have an Easify Website account, you had to register an account on our website to purchase your Easify Subscription license. The email address you used to purchase your Easify Subscription license is the one you use in the next step.

3. The email address mentioned in the previous step must be associated with a local Easify account. To do this you go to Security > Manage Users > Select User > Edit > Remote Access > Users Easify Website Account email address and enter your website account email address into the box and click OK.

4. This final step allows incoming connections over the internet, we will see your remote discovery information appear in our logs after you successfully complete step 3 above. If you don't complete step 4, you will not be able to connect as your router will not know to allow incoming Easify connections. Also of note, if you're not using the Windows firewall, you will need to use the details in Tools > Easify Connection Manager to make sure it is not blocking incoming connections to the Easify server.

If you'd like us to set everything up remotely you'll first need to purchase our Easify Server Firewall/Router Setup service. We can then arrange a convenient time to get things setup.
