Setup Options

Easify's Private Key

This setting needs to be set to the same secure password in both Easify and in WordPress.

In Easify you can set the Private Key here:
Easify > Tools > Options > General > Advanced Server Settings > Web Service Private Key

In WordPress you can set the Private Key here:
WordPress > Settings > Easify Settings > Setup > Easify's Private Key

The default Private Key setting is ChangeThisToYourPrivateKey

Communication Timeout

Stability can be affected by low bandwidth and high latency on the internet connection at either your Easify server or WordPress web server.

This setting helps WordPress to stabilise communication with the Easify server.

If you do not have a stable internet connection between your Easify server and your WordPress web server, this can cause timeout errors when WordPress is requested data from your Easify server.

The default for this setting is 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Easify Web Service Location

First please make sure you have installed the EASU upgrade on your Easify server computer.
The EASU upgrade installs the Easify Web Service onto your Easify server computer.

This setting tells WordPress the location of your Easify server and is a combination of your external IP address and the company name you have set in Easify.

For example, if my external IP was 123.456.789 and my company name was Easify Electricals Ltd.

I would set the web service location to http://123.456.789/EasifyElectricalsLtd/

Please note, in most cases you will need to publish the Easify Web Services to the web, this allows Easify to receive messages over the internet from WordPress.

This is done by completing four steps:

1. Allow your Easify server to receive messages through its own local software firewall via port 80.

If you are not running the standard Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 Firewall, please seek support from your firewall / security software provider's website.

If you are running the Windows Firewall, you can follow this Microsoft guide:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/open-port-windows-firewall#1TC=windows-7

Please note, if you are concerned with security you should set everything up on port 443 and use a security certificate also known as a SSL certificate.

This website provides an easy way to buy and install a security certificate:
https://www.globalsign.eu/ssl/oneclickssl/

Alternatively the more technical process is described in this Microsoft article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324069

If you require further advice and or assistance with this process please contact Easify support.

2. Make your Easify server computer use a static internal IP address.

Setting this up makes sure your computer doesn't change its ID number (IP address) on your network, so even after a reboot we're still using the same identifying numbers. This means that we don't get a communication failure after either the router or Easify server is rebooted.

This is best setup on your router, some routers make this process easy and explain it in their user manuals.

Alternatively you can set a static IP in Windows, here is a guide that can help you with this:
http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

If you require further advice and or assistance with this process please contact Easify support.

3. Allow your Easify server to receive messages through your router's hardware firewall via port 80.

So your Internet router needs to be told where the Easify Web Services are located on your local network, so if we get requests from the Internet, it knows where to send the traffic.

Some routers make this process easy and explain it in their user manuals.

For help setting this up either consult your router's user manual. Alternatively find your router make and model on this website and read their walk through on how to setup port forwarding:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/

If you require further advice and or assistance with this process please contact Easify support.

4. Make your router use a static external IP address.

Just as your Easify server needs to have an ID number that doesn't change after a reboot, so does your router.

Please consult your Internet Service Provider if you are unsure if you already have a Static IP Address setup. They can also tell you what your static IP address is if you are unsure. This static IP / external IP is used in the Easify Web Service Location setting in WordPress.

If you require further advice and or assistance with this process please contact Easify support.

WordPress Web Service Location

Once you have installed the Easify WooCommerce Connector, Easify needs to know where it is.

This information can be found here on the Setup tab in the Easify Settings page in WordPress:
WordPress > Settings > Easify Settings > Setup > WordPress Web Service Location

Copy and paste the URL into Easify in the following location:
Easify > Tools > Options > General > Advanced Server Settings > URL of web services on your web server
