VAT in UK - accounting for Scale charges
Would it be possible in UK to add an option in VAT for using scale charges. The information we would need to give would be:
1. That we want to use scale charges
2. The amount to add to box 1
3. The amount to add to box 6
(These amounts can change annually with the budget so we probably need to be asked to confirm the amounts before they are applied.)
These amounts could then be added automatically when generating the VAT report. The benefit is that our actual sales data would remain untouched. In order to get my VAT return done I had to add an imaginary sale but then this causes difficulties in applying a payment.
