[SOLVED] - Cannot Create ActiveX component error when attaching paperwork to email.

When you try to email a document such as an invoice or a quote via Outlook in Easify, you get the following error:

Could not attach paperwork to email.

Please contact Easify support asking for help with the following error message:

System Exception: Cannot create ActiveX component.

at Microsoft.VisualBasic.Interaction.CreateObject(String ProgId, String ServerName)

at Easify.frmEasifyReportForm.EmailReportViaOutlook()

This can be caused by the DMS path being inaccessible, for example if you have the DMS path set to a network share, and the network share is unreachable.

To resolve the problem, check that your DMS path is accessible in Easify Options. https://www.easify.co.uk/Help/options_general_document_management_system

The problem occurs because before an item of paperwork can be attached to an Outlook email, it is automatically saved to the DMS as a PDF. If the PDF cannot be saved, the above error can appear.

Hi

We have the same problem, but we have the Microsoft Mail program and not Outlook. Is there a dll file for the Mail program?

Regards

Mike

Hi Mike,

No, it only works with the full Microsoft Outlook program and not the built in Windows Mail application.
