After EASU installation, EASU service does not start...

If after you install EASU the EASU service does not start, and the EASU service cannot be started via the Windows Services MMC first try rebooting your computer.

If this fails you may need to manually specify the Log On credentials for the service.

Additionally you may get the message "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" when you try to manually try to start the service.

In this scenario you will need to go to the EASU service in the Services MMC and specify a different log on account for the service. Typically the EASU service will use the built in Local System account, but to work around the issue described above you will need to specify an account and password to use instead of Local System account.

We recommend that you create a service user in Windows that has administrator privileges, and use this account to run the Easify EASU service under.

The cause of this issue is not known, but is likely to be some form of corruption of Windows permissions or other misalignment of the operating system.

So far we have only seen the above scenario on one Windows 7 x64 installation but the above workaround may apply to other operating systems.
