can you assist as I am a little unsure on how to proceed
What I would like to do is to create an order through Purchases
The purchase order is easy enough using the product list
This reflects the product, product price ,the number of units and the total price
my question is there a way to change the total payment as there are times that I have to pay P & P
which increases the total sum

I'm not sure I follow you but I'll see if this helps.
If you need to add in post and packaging charges to a purchase order, click on the bottom blank row of the list of products and type a description of delivery, then edit its price and tax rate to reflect the delivery charge. Alternatively you can create a delivery product with a zero price that can be added to the purchase order just like any other product and then edit its price.
